Check your GFCI

The NEC, National Electrical Code requires that your hot tub’s GFCI, ground fault circuit interrupter, should be tested monthly ( see image to the left ).
This simple task is for your protection !
You don’t want to find out too late that the protective device is not working properly !
Your GFCI breaker will be located in either your main service panel ( as seen below left ) or in the outdoor service disconnect ( as seen bottom left ).
The hot tub GFCI breaker will have a test funtion button function you should engage for your monthly test.

If you have questions regarding your specific GFCI breaker consult the breaker manufacturer’s manual, their website, or check with your electrician.
